As an a’ani warrior, my life matters little. Cloned from the same matter as thousands of others, I am but one of many. Here on the ice planet, though, I can start over. I can become my own person, have my own needs, my own wants.

I know what I want. I have known since the moment I arrived.

Her name is Angie. She is human, with sad, lonely eyes and a very pregnant belly. To

Damn but I love the world Ruby Dixon made in the Ice Planet. I love these, sweet, protective, and sexy Aliens so much. I was so glad that Angie got her story and we readers got to find out the secret of her pregnancy. I loved Vordis Aka hot sauce so much. I loved Angie and Vordis together and I really loved how bad the knock knock jokes were. I just love this whole series and the connecting series. They are one of my happy places! I can't wait for the next one.

Another great book in this series!

Angie and Vordis are such a nice couple and they deserved their happy ending.

Poor Angie wake up pregnant and doesn't know when of how she got pregnant. She's terrified that she will gave birth to a monster. She's wondering if she were raped or she was experimented upon. And she's rightly terrified.

Vordis doesn't know what to think. He's a'ani, a clone, and was always a slave. He doesn't know whything about being free, but he's been programmed, with his brother

If you know anything about these two charters, and if you read any books in this series before this you do. You know that this book could have went any number of ways and there was so much story and so much in the air with these two characters. Well I have to tell you this book was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I loved it so much, I loved the charters Angie and Vordis, and I love how Ruby Dixon wrote the story it was beyond perfect and I am so glad she went the way she did with thi ...more

Angie's Gladiator is book 5 in the Icehome series and my favorite so far. It was sweet but also heartbreaking. Vordis and Thrand are a'ani warriors which are basically clones. They are raised to not be individuals or to think for themselves but Vordis has always felt differently and now that he is free he wants to be seen as separate from Thrand. The interactions between the two were heartbreaking because Thrand has difficulty understanding what is happening with his brother. When the clones are ...more

This is the sweetest romance possible ...well possible for a pregnant woman. I've been waiting for Angie's story for so long, I almost forgot about it. But I am glad to read it.

I am not in a mood for a long review and since it is #5 of the series, you either kind of know the situation or you don't want to start series from middle.... ;)

Vordis is an a'ani, a clone born created to be a slave. It's all he and his clone/brother Thrand have ever known. But now they are stuck on this strange new ice planet where no one is claiming to be their master. They are free, they can become individuals rather than just one more a'ani amongst many. And Vordis knows what he wants: Angie. Waking up on a freezing cold planet surrounded by blue aliens wasn't Angie's biggest shock. Nope...waking up heavily pregnant was. But, the unexpected pregnan ...more

I was nervous about this book. I didn't want it to be a throuple and I didn't want Thrand's mate to be second best. Thankfully, none of that happens.

I really liked Angie and Vordis. They both start the book after having had a rough go of it. Angie could have been whiny. Instead, her confusion and isolation felt real and it made her falling for the guy that saw her as a woman first (pregnant lady second) even better.

Vordis was sweet, patient, and besotted. I liked him almost as much as Ashtar (w

This was definitely one of the tamest books in the Ice World series and you can definitely see where Ruby was coming from behind her reasoning for the lack of scorch marks in the wake of the book.

It was so sweet.
Angie and Vordis were just adorable together and I for one was definitely glad this was not a ménage.

3.5 stars

I'm reviewing as I read so I don't forget anything important.

1. Not off to a great start. "Redneck" is used by Angie in the first chapter when talking about her name. Let's not stereotype. If it's not nice to do it against one group, it's not nice against any group. One of Dixon's dragon books stereotyped the south in a similar way. There is a way to technically stereotype in which you're using the common characteristics to draw logical conclusions, but there's another way that is ignor

Once in a while, it's nice to get a sweet love story than the HOT as heck one we've become accustom to and is eagerly awaiting. In this story, we get to find out the story of Angie and her Hot Sauce of a choice, Vordis.

Angie doesn't feel like she belongs. I mean, who can blame her. She wakes up pregnant on an alien planet and is told she won't ever be able to go home. Not only that, but it seems everyone is walking on eggshells with her since she doesn't even know how she got pregnant and who's

This was so good! I love all of Ruby Dixon's ICP and Ice Home stories. She is able to bring out the thoughts and feelings of her characters so well.

Angie is great. Vordis is great. I like the story. Honestly, the ONLY reason this is a 3 star vs. a 4 star story for me is this has my all-time book peeve: miscommunication that can be solved by simply asking what the other person means. I understand that they are literally worlds apart, but all the more reason to ask, “what do you mean?” I get frustrated.

But listen, Angie and Vordis are lovely. I’ve become more attached to the icehome crew. I look forward to each installment. Ignore me and rea

I've loved the big blue barbarians since book one of the Ice Planet Barbarians series and I'm absolutely ADORING the new characters that were dumped on the planet after the fact. They're not all human and I sorta, kinda looooove seeing how they come to terms with their new circumstances as they find love and acceptance on this icy planet.

So. Angie and Vordis. Poor Angie woke up pregnant on a distant world, surrounded by aliens, and with no idea how she came to have a bun in the oven. While I don

Sweet and emotional

I skipped a whole bunch of blue alien books to get to this one. And I still managed to read about that selfish bitch Liz. I truly dislike her.

This book is about Angie with the mystery pregnancy, who I think anyone can easily relate to. Like I said, she's pregnant, but she has no idea how that happened and I think she deals with it in a very realistic way, as far as feeling scared, lonely and confused.

If you're like me, and would just like a hint as to how she ended up pregnan

Angie and Vordis.
Icehome has opened up new storylines to the Blue Barbarian series.
It has such a mixture of culture and races that it feels new.
Vordis and Thand are anni, which are clones and as we saw in previous books they both had some sort of interest in Angie.
Angie is pregnant, though not mated so this story unravels the mystery of her baby.
The book starts pre Gails arrival. Plus pre the island arrivals. Then covers their arrival and beyond.
There are breadcrumbs dropped for future books of

I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous about this one. I was worried about seeing two guys fall all over Angie, then the guy who doesn't resonate to her will eventually fall for another girl. That girl may not feel all that super resonating as a second place prize. For me, the reasoning why they acted towards Angie the way they did makes sense, but Thrand will have his work cut out for him if (please give him his story soon) he ever gets his story. I did like the story, seeing both characters ...more

After hating Willow's book and not being as over the moon with some of the newer material from this world, I didn't even read the last short story. I just lost interest. I wasn't going to go for this one either, last second before bed last night decided to just give it a little try. So glad I did. Ruby is back!!!! This is the IPB style I fell in love with. Awesome characters, super sweet plot, made me literally LOL in parts, and (can't be stressed enough) a likable girl and amazingly sweet guy. ...more

Ahhhh another amazing alien romance that I absolutely fell in love with!!!

Ruby Dixon probably had no idea how much people would love these barbarians and Icehome books!!! They are the absolute best alien romance I've ever read!!! And Vordis and Angie's story is no different. I mean it's different in the story line of course but not in how much I loved it!!

Yes!!!

I loved this sweet tender story. As a mom to a little one, I really enjoyed this take on pregnancy, then the whole new momness, mom body during sexy times, and a new man. From everything in between leaky boobies to stretch marks. But mostly I loved how V loved A and G.

Awesome

As usual you can't go wrong in this series. I loved this book in particular. He was so sweet and it wasn't just momma he fell in love with but baby glory as well. It was an awesome and sweet read. I had been want to see what was going through plot angies head for ages and why not sauce and ketchup were so fixated on her. To get a peek into the twins heads as well because they were a totally new breed of alien was interesting. As one character put it it's a big universe and some of it is u

It wasn't terrible...

But it wasn't great either. This book was lacking in plot. I really needed more. More danger, more sexy times, more adventure. It was just kind of boring.

While I did like the overall story and the slow building romance between these two, it wasn't amazing. I liked the other books in this series a lot more, especially the last one Willa's Beast.

Another fab addition to the series.

Poor Angie, abducted by aliens. She wakes up on an ice planet full of other aliens of all colors shapes and sizes. Worst of all she’s very pregnant with any possible species she can imagine because she has no idea how she got that way.

I LOVED this story. Ruby handled this so thoughtfully. The plot keeps you guessing.

Vordis is Angie’s self appointed guardian and he’s amazingly kind and strong for her. I liked that this romance built slowly on small acts of ki

Another good addition to the IceHome series

This is another good addition to the series, with a likable couple. When Angie and the clone twins were first introduced, it seemed that they would end up in a menage trio. I'm glad they didn't, though, because Angie and Vordis were great together. Thrand didn't really want Angie, he just wanted to compete with Vordis like they had always done. I want him to find his own mate later. I think my favorite part of this story was how sweet Vordis was with ac

Angie's Gladiator was a book full of sweet and/or fun scenes. I couldn't get enough of it. Blue Barbarian world got much more bigger with new alien additions and those two stubborn clones intrigued me the most.
Ruby Dixon managed to capture Vordis' struggle to define himself as an individual beautifully. (I can't wait to see when the other brother A'ani will figure out how to life on this planet.)
Vordis stole my heart immediately, how he treated Thrand after he learned about his worries, how he h
