Worldbuilders 2018 kicks off today (Giving Tuesday) and runs through December 11th.

That is a shorter run than normal. See Patrick Rothfuss's blog post for more details.

Here's the list of stuff you can get from the lottery: Lottery List

And here are the auctions (Ending 12/6): Ebay Auctions

I've gotten some pretty good stuff from the lottery in the past. I like that they have games now in addition to the books. Last year I got a few games. They don't tell you won something either, so you get pleasantly surprised when you do as stuff just shows up at your house.

Coudn't agree more with Rob said, awesome way to support Heifer in a cool way.

And as always along with donating you can check out there store, it has a ton of great products in there as well. Many of them inspired by favorite creators around here.

corkhead | 8 comments Worldbuilders fundraisers bring me so much joy. I also love the community Pat Rothfuss has built on Twitch, where he does Q&A, games, readings, and invites guests.

There are also team-specific prize drawings for King Killer / Worldbuilders merch, D&D cards, and writing critiques: Team pages

Some more cool world builder stuff:

Become an astronaut! (In Mary Robinette Kowal's Lady Astronaut series)

Get Critical Role or Acquisitions Incorporated D&D stuff:

The charity is up to $425k so far. Good start!

I wonder if we could create a Sword & Laser team. Maybe I'll ask our benevolent leaders about doing that for next year, since they know Pat.

Mark (mmtz) | 1027 comments Worldbuilders donation for 2018 done! Now I need some coffee...

Mark (mmtz) | 1027 comments By the way, you can go to Charity Navigator to see their profile for Worldbuilders. They don't have a rating yet because they need two more years of IRS form submissions, but they seem making all the right moves to be a well run charity.

John (Nevets) Nevets (Nevets) | 994 comments Just a reminder that today is the last day. I'm not sure if the clock on the website is accurate or not, but it appears to be ending at about 1am North America west cost time. They are over $1 million, but you can still get slots in the lottery for every $10 you give.

Sky Corbelli | 323 comments Slow year for me (since I just donate whatever I make on books sales every year), but I at least managed to donate a cow, bringing my total for the last 6 years up to 17 cows. Getting close to a healthy sized herd!
